Coming Together
What a time we have had together! As the flurry of culminating experiences and celebrations came to a close, I watched our children boldly sing out a song or talk about their work, gleefully give warm hugs to their friends and proudly hold the hand of their grown-up as they invited us into their space, and I was reminded of all that makes Greenhouse special. This year we played, wondered, explored, and learned. We lived, laughed, grew and loved. We made friends, cooked food, painted pictures and discovered answers to some important questions. It has been my pleasure and privilege to be a part of your family’s lives this year and to watch as your children grew and their personalities unfolded day by day, experience by experience. It has also been my honor to be part of such a warm, supportive community. The below photos are just a sample of the year we’ve had together outside of school.
While today marks the end of our year together, it does not mark the end of our relationship. We will see some of you here in a few weeks for summer camp. We will see others returning in September to new rooms, new teachers and new friends. For the others, those families moving to different schools, even different cities, we will see you again too–in the neighborhood, at special events and always in our memories. A special thing happens at nursery school, sharing the experience of watching your children grow draws us together and we become a part of each other and we will always carry that part of each other with us, no matter where we go next.
A special thank you to the faculty and staff: for their tireless efforts and extra-special brand of love and learning that we have come to take for granted at Greenhouse. They are what drives the work here and are responsible for so much of what makes us special. I’d also like to send out a special thank you to the PA Co-Chairs—Julie Kim and Stephanie Schafer, you have both been an invaluable support to me this year. Thanks to the other PA leaders, class reps, committee chair people and volunteers—you have all helped make this year successful.

This year our Greenhouse community has come together in celebration and support of our school.
Beginning in the fall, with our Annual Apple Day Bake Sale,
to our Annual Silent Auction and Dinner,
families came together in support of the work of Greenhouse.
Just as importantly, we came together for fun and fellowship, too!
The Spring Fair is the perfect time for fun,
games,
and friends!
And we ended it all with a bang!
